Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why don’t you include batting (polyester fill) with the cushion covers?
We do not provide the polyester fill for a number of reasons.

Typically the densified and bonded polyester fill is fully recycleable

Although the material is inexpensive the cost to ship is not affordable for most customers.

We are not set up to cut batting to size and ship large items at this time.
You may find the outdoor furniture polyester fill at your local upholstery shop, better fabric stores, or camping supply. Ask for outdoor furniture polyester fill or foam. Typically it comes in 1” to 1-1/2” loft. Polyester fill is folded and layed to get the thickness you want. Often reverse folding your existing polyester fill or adding a thin piece of outdoor foam or polyfil is sufficient to regain the shape of the cushion which may have lost it's fullness.
2. Do you know where I can get patio swing parts?
We get asked this a lot. Unfortunately we do not carry parts.
TSY Services offers parts for patio swings manufactured by Taiwan Shin Yeh. Many retailers have purchased from this overseas manufacturer.

3. Do you ship internationally?
Currently we only ship to Canada
4. Do you make the patio swing seating mesh or canvas replacement sling?
Yes, we do. There are dozens of styles and many “slings” can be replaced. However, some swing seating units are riveted which makes disassembling it and putting it back together a challenge.
You will need to determine whether you can re-assemble the frame to install the new one. We make slings custom to your frame dimensions.
Until we get a measuring diagram posted on our web site please send us an email with “SLING ORDER” in the subject line, swingcushions@aol.com. We will email you back with the instructions.
We use a durable mesh type Awntex® fabric which is manufactured by Glen Raven, Inc. and comes with a 5 year wear warranty (the same manufacturer as Sunbrella® fabrics). Our slings are double stitched for strength.
5. Do you sell outdoor patio swing weather protective covers?
We currently do not offer this item. However, if you purchase our product you can be confident it will perform superior under normal conditions. That is why we chose Sunbrella® brand awning grade fabric because it is made to hold up to sun, weather, and is easy to brush off dust and dirt. The manufacturer offers a 10 year limited warranty on this fabric. And we include fabric care and cleaning instructions with each order.
6. How do you get the cushion covers on?
There are two basic types of patio swing seating units. Those that have removable cushions and those that do not.

Removable: Like most patio chairs our cushion covers come with ties to secure to your frame. They also include zippers so you can easily reinsert your existing polyester fill (batting).

Non-Removable: These patio swings have either two horizontal seating bars; one behind the knee and one across the top of the backrest, or may have three horizontal seating bars (an additional bar in the middle at the lower back). The cushion batting and fabric is sewn to the “sling” (the piece that is either made of a canvas type material or mesh material). The sling has sleeves for the bars to slide through.
We make both the one piece original construction replacement cover, and a removable version for some types. The removable version allows you to remove your cushion for cleaning, storing and can be reversed so that you get extended wear from the fabric.
If you are choosing the removable version for this type of seating it comes as a three piece set; the sling (to replace what is on your frame now), the bench seat, and a separate backrest (and headrest if your cushion requires). Most of our orders are custom made to your size specifications.
7. Why don’t you inventory your products so customers can get them sooner?
That is a good question and there are a couple of answers. Because we use only Sunbrella® brand awning fabric which comes with the manufacturers 10 year fabric warranty we know you will be enjoying your patio swing for many trouble free years. We believe you should have a selection of fabric. Therefore each order is custom made.
Also, there are literally dozens and dozens of patio swing styles that have been sold over the years. At this point in time we do not have the resources to stock up on multiple fabric selections for every brand and model.
8. Why is your product so expensive?
We use only the best outdoor fabric, thread, and materials for our product. The product is sewn right here in California by people who would otherwise be unemployed. Skilled seamstress’ earn good money. Rest assured when you choose to do business with us it is made with pride by American citizens. We believe we provide an alternative to costly upholstery or awning shops for our services. We are not a factory, just a small business with the goal to produce a durable, quality product.
9. What is your return policy?
As orders are custom made we do require payment for the product before it is put into production. Should you receive your item and it is defective, the wrong color, or does not fit we will make every effort to rectify it.
We rely on customers to verify their dimensions either with the stated dimensions on our web site, or by requesting they measure their swing, we do our best to make it to fit with the information we have been provided.
You may return your product for a refund, minus shipping, and a $10 restocking fee within 30 days. You may return your product for an exchange or repair of a defective item within on. We choose the right to either make the repair or replace the item. We do not pay shipping for any return.
10. Do you make cushion covers for patio chairs?
Yes, for many types we certainly can. Once you receive your new patio swing canopy or cushion cover you may want to coordinate a similar fabric for your outdoor patio chairs. Again our service is designed to allow you to re-use your existing polyester fill. Chair covers would come with zippers to easily reinsert your existing polyester fill and ties to secure to your frame.
