Typical Standard Swing Styles

Not sure what swing style you have? There are literally dozens of styles.  Here are two of the most typical patio swing styles. 

What we call Style B - 

 

A typical standard rectangular flat roof canopy (or with  a "rise" or "arch" at front or side) and a hanging seat frame with three horizontal bars.  Typically you have a bench seat and a backrest.  Some have an additional headrest and some have three sections either a sewn section like that shown below or may have three separate cushions.  We can make most styles.

Sling Replacements

 
We also make custom sized slings for this type of swing. Please email us so that we can send you measuring instructions. Priced between $89 and $129 depending on size.
 

Here you see the seating is supported by a "basic sling" that slides onto the three bars.

   Futon Style - this swing folds down to a bed ($129 - $139)

Slings for "futon style" seats (seat folds down into a bed) can also be made but you need to make sure your frame can be disassembled in order to replace it. Sometimes the seating unit is riveted (rather than bolted) so replacing it can be cumbersome. Also, some seating frames are one piece units which must be sewn onto your frame. In this case you might visit your local upholstery shop.  We can always duplicate your existing sling or you can replace it with a basic sling.

What we call Style C -

Seating unit has only two horizontal bars (one behind the knee, and one behind the backrest).  The cushions on this style seating are always sewn to the sling (the mesh type fabric that slides onto your frame).  The cushion in not "removable".   The canopy can either be this "C" shaped or have a rectangular flat overhead canopy as shown in the above typical swing.

This style swing has only two horizontal bars in the seating unit.  It is a one piece cushion and sling unit. The cushions are not removable without disassembling the swing.  We make replacement cushions for this style that includes 1-1/2" densified and bonded polyester fill.
